Quality of Life – Canada bags #1 spot in the world: This is not the first time, but the country’s 5th year in a row to achieve this title. The rankings were formed in partnership with BAV Group, a unit of global marketing communications company VMLY&R, and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and are based on a study that surveyed more than 20,000 global citizens from four regions to assess perceptions of 73 countries on 75 different metrics(“Quality of Life Rankings”, 2020).What makes Canada the best place to live in anyway, eh? Let’s have a look at some of the many factors (“All the Things That Makes Canada Top Quality of Life Possible”, 2020) considered in the ranking process:
- Material living conditions,
- Health and education,
- Leisure and social interactions,
- Economic physical safety,
- Governance and basic rights,
- The natural environment that you’ll fall in love with, and
- The overall experience of life.
Among all those metrics listed above, Canada has fared very well in each of those categories and the country has ranked 1st for its good education system, political stability, safe environment, and the strong job market.
For other areas, Canada has ranked 5th best country in the world for women, 3rd best in country in business, and 2nd in terms of citizenship rankings. Overall, the country secured their spot as 2nd best country for 2020.
